This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!

I can see both sides of this. ~WesternGirl, like ~undecidedlove already stated, I despise the fact that you stole photos from a professional photographer (and worse, offered them as stock for us fellow DA members to use; you could've gotten us into a lot of trouble), and I completely understand why ~blumequinephoto is/was so upset. However, I honestly believe that you are truly sorry for what you have done, and I commend you for taking down the stolen photos, as well as making amends with the photographer and owning up to your mistakes. As I'm sure you know, there is a lot of art theft happening on the internet, these days, but very few of those people who commit art theft are willing to admit their mistakes, as well as try to correct those mistakes, so for that (as I already said), I commend you. And like a few others already stated, if those other photos that you had uploaded to your gallery were indeed, yours, then you should definitely re-upload them to your gallery and continue with photography, because they were really beautiful photos (in my opinion).
Anyway, I just wanted to say that. I wish you luck in your future photography endeavors, and I hope that you have truly learned your lesson (which, judging by your comments, you have). I hope that once you have had some time, you will decide to come back to deviantART.

mm I do not like the fact that you stole some images, but I believe the rest, you took? I really despise that you took down the pictures, or stock photographs you *actually* took. Why not just take down the stolen images, apologize, and make amends to the rightful photographer? You did have some good images up, I'm talking about the ones you took. Please return in good morals and I hope to see you soon
PS: Sina, is not a murderer, she did however take copyrited images that were not hers, and she took them down, so don't treat her like a human that killed another human. Yes, I am standing up for her, because I'm sick and tired of the way we treat people.

For your information, no one treated her like a murderer nor that she killed another person. I don't get what you mean by "I'm tired of the way we treat people"... what if I stole something of yours? Wouldn't you be upset? Some people don't think that taking someone else's photos and passing them off as their own is a big deal, but it is. When you spend as much time and effort and money, sweat, blood and tears (all literally) working on something to make a living off of and someone tries to snatch it from you, that is a big deal, not a "slap on the hand, forgive me" situation.

I want to say thank you to everyone who stood up for ME and MY work.
She has every right to be mad at me, everyone does and i really am okay with it. If no one was, it would be weird. Thanks for sticking up for me but its really not needed. If i were her i would extremely mad, I'm still confident and i know my image i take are okay, once i feel i am ready i will come back to deviantart.
i made amends to her. i am ashamed of what i did... I dont deserve to be on da, in my mind anyway and thought it best just to quit. I'm very happy that you understand. I am sorry and won't forget what a horrible person I am... i have had my images stolen and its infuriating to have it happen and i should have remember that. but i guess this is one of those times you look back and go wtf was i thinking. Thank you again for being understanding. To be honest i'm crying right now im so mad at myself. I am also very grateful to the ordinal photographer for not suing me.
Everyone makes bad judgment calls but like I told you before, you can't expect to just say sorry and be forgiven all the time. Thank you for owning up to your mistakes and if the other images in your photo stream that weren't mine truly were yours, then they weren't half bad and your should pursue your own photography, and like I said, it's much more gratifying and flattering to have people like the photos that you took yourself verses pawning off someone else. Start yourself a clean slate and NO MORE stealing images!
Thank you again!! yes the other images were mine and thanks for the comment i do try my best and i hope to get into a good school and hope to one day start my own business or at least do it for fun. I really love taking pictures and once i get my camera back from canon i will get out and take more pictures, even if it means doing more free photoshoots for people, When it comes down to it i have a hard time chargeing people for letting me do something so fun... but paid or not doesn't matter to me. Thanks again (100th time now sorry) for being so amazing. I really mean it.
Believe it or not, free photo shoots is how I started out. You can go on dreamhorse.com or any other website and look up horses for sale in your area, then email the owners and offer to take photos of their horses for free, explain you are an aspiring equine photographer and usually they will be more then happy to have you come out, especially if you show them some sample work so they know you are not pulling their chain. Do that for a summer, then the next summer you can start charging a little bit (or more, depending on your quality and reliability) and then a little more over time. It was hard for me to start charging out first also, but it's all about self-respect. If you are working hard and producing good work, why wouldn't you expect payment for what you have done? This is a big reason of why I am so upset about this whole situation, I charge my clients for each and every photograph they order from me and imagine how they would feel if they found out they could get them for free somewhere? And also because I have worked hard and invested a lot of money in equipment and travel and lots of time also and my work is my work, it belongs to me and it is a part of who I am.
I would recommend removing this account and starting a new, fresh one when you are ready and like I said, start a clean slate and learn from your mistakes because even though people may tell you, "Oh, they can't legally do anything to you," trust and believe, you could really get in a financial mess for stealing photographs and also destroy your reputation. No one would hire a fraud. All of my images are registered with the U.S Copyright Office and so all I would have had to do is send a few emails, make a few calls and that would be it. I'm not saying this to scare you in any way, just informing you that you never know what someone might do to protect their work.
Again, thanks for taking my work down promptly and for owning up, and I wish you the best with your photography in the future.
It happens to people. It's a moment of weakness, don't let this stupid shit bother you. It ain't worth your time. I wish you well in the future Good luck and maybe you will someday come back. I thought the stock photos that you did take were awesome!
